2023 Scotland – September 17
Today the weather was a little more typical of what we expected. It was a bit cooler and cloudy with a little rain but still not overly cold. We decided to take a trip to the Isle of Luing (pronounced Ling) not far from us. We also needed to take a ferry but this island was bigger than Easdale and the ferry took a max of 5 vehicles at a time across.. We happened to be the last vehicle to board on the trip over and it was a very tight fit, we survived the crossing but some of our passengers were a bit on edge. It was a Sunday and there wasn’t much open but we did manage to visit and have lunch at The Atlantic Islands Centre in Cullipool. The drive through and the island was beautiful and only traffic we encountered were the many cows and sheep that spent as much time in the road as they did in the fields, but that helped to make the journey even more pleasant.
